Cheers to trying new things.
I can't say that I've ever imagined myself being that person who takes the time to sit in front of a computer screen and write small segments about my take on life; but here we are.
The truth is, I always believed that I wasn't any good at writing. I spent years spent in high school thinking that I wasn't good enough on account of the grades I received in every english writing class I took in high school. Grammar, punctuation, spelling. It all still sounds like a headache to me. "there are rules when it comes to writing". I'm sure you've heard this before as well...But honestly, Ive never been a super strait-edged rule follower from the get-go.
So, that being said, why now? why even start?
Well, I guess I've got a lot to say. Like a lot of over-thinkers, I have trouble articulating in the present moment. I feel strong emotions about a lot of things and often all at once. It's almost overwhelming. I have hopes for what this blog could be, but I don't have any expectations either. It's just a place for me to be honest. A place to share. maybe inspire? entertain? like I said. No Expectations. Just trying something new.
Two closing thoughts for this first blog post. something to think about...
First. what's something that you've been wanting to try? what's stopping you? maybe your writing a book. or thinking about starting a podcast. wanting to try out that new community class offered in your city. starting a business.Whatever it is. Just start. do it tired. do it broke. do it with little experience. just start.
There is always going to be barriers and hoops to jump through. but if you start, well then you're already steps ahead of the average Joe. It might be scary and it might feel weird but I promise you, failing and being bad at something is still better than never trying it at all.
Second. What are some topics you to read about. What kind of conversations do you want to have? I was thinking that maybe this could be an interactive thing. a place I find more like minded folks to talk about some shared experiences. talk about life's little 'ahh-ha' moments. would love your feedback.
cheers to trying new things.
